Our Homes are an interpretation of the England that we inhabit. When we go on holiday it is cities and towns that we seek out. There are countless numbers of beautiful houses in the English countryside to rent, and seemingly few in the heart of our historical cities.
These are locations for lovers of architecture, parklands, grand cathedrals and handsome churches, mystic earthworks, water meadows, legends and literature. Fortunately England’s history is intertwined with great theatre, pubs, restaurants and as Napoleon put it: "L'Angleterre est une nation de boutiquiers". Both Bath and Winchester have excellent independent shopkeepers, alongside the more expected high street names.
